JRK 12v12 versus other pololu boards

Here you can ask general questions about sim building, not related to the various hardware sections

Can I please say here, that I would like to see a reasonable priced controller THAT WORKS IN X-SIM with a simple code we can use and the ability to use different h-bridges on it.
I am happy with 12v, but I would like to experiment with 24v and maybe even 240v motors at a later date.
But as I am less intelligent in code, I hope there may be a solution found for a controller.
Thanos, I have donated to the cause for a controller and I hope you can come up with something.

Otherwise, long live the JRK.

Ok tronicgr,

I'm thinking of ordering two of the motor drive modules you suggested and also two of these -- http://www.trcelectronics.com/Meanwell/se-600-24.shtml -- one for each motor. Do you know if that motor drive board has a diode on it to prevent inductive kickback from when the motor switches direction? Do I need do add something to it, or does it just work out of the box if I connect the wires?

I'm thinking that the MPJA specs are probably wrong regarding the current draw. It makes no sense for a motor to have no-load current of 10@ 24V and then 5A @12V. I think it'd make more sense if it was 5A @ 24V and then 10A @ 12V meaning that the power is about 120W.. At least that's what I think. I can't seem to recall anything about motors anymore.. Hopefully the 600W PSUs will be enough for these motors. Does that seem right?
