SCN5 motors with RS485 - connection problem

Postby mrconsoler » Wed 18. Sep 2013, 17:45

Hello,

we tried to build our own SCN5 based simulator. We have connected everything according to this scheme, only without Z-Diode and resistor, and we made our own SCN5 cables:

In Windows 7, we got only one COM port detected on the RS485 device:

After doing hardware rescan in X-Sim, we got either no found outputs at all, or in about 20% of rescans, we got found one of actuators:

However, after opening settings, we can't change any of options:

What do you think we have done wrong? Is the Z-Diode and resisor really needed for normal operation, or is it just for safety reasons?

As told you in the SCN threads: what do the debug mode tell you?
