Need HELP making my joyrider a MOTION simulator.

Hello to all and thanks for this site with an overwhelming amount of info.
I have just finished a manual joyrider and want to convert it to motion with wiper motors (sounds like the easier route?) and I have no idea how or what to do first......HELP.... there is so much info on the net it just sends my head spinning, I don't know how to do any programming, but im willing to learn if anyone could give me any tips on which direction I should go..(if there is an easy one)

I bought an arduino uno and shield and all I can do is look at it! LOL.
What all do I need to buy to make it motion simulator. I can't find anything in complete detail on how to do it all, it seems when I get a path then I find out something is obselete. Help please.
