No input from Assetto Corsa solved with post #19763

Dear X-sim community, I use x-sim for project cars and it works perfectly fine. Assetto Corsa also used to work very well with x-sim, but somehow it's giving me the following problem since yesterday:

I use the latest plugin (October 2015) and keep in mind it did work until yesterday.

- run extractor as admin
- run converter as admin
- select the AC-profile (made 10 new ones trying to fix it, deleted the game from left, registry clean, logged on again, autowizard, nothing helped.) Anyway...
- the game boot perfectly fine and I get confirmation "Game detected" (play game button stays grey/black)
- press START in converter and it says it's working (button is red)

The problem is, the converter (or maybe the extractor, idk) is not getting any data. The math setup tab in the converter show the blue "datagraph" and it's moving but it just stays flat.

Please advice for it's wrecking my mind. One other thing; I have experienced this problem one time before, but after starting project cars, which always works, and starting AC again, it was fixed. Unfortunately this time that fix doesn't work.

I tried rebooting 30 times, did the complete sirnoname plugin installation tutorial, was already updated to AC version 1.7 last week, so it did work after that.

Do screenshots of converter, check if joysticks are working, check the assetto post here in the forum.

Hi Sirnoname, joystick (steeringwheel) is recognized and in the input tab it shows the turning of the wheel and gas brake and all other buttons. In both screenshots I pressed the gaspedal around 80% and turned the wheel slightly to the left. Its just a buttkicker, but it means the world to me.

Did you follow the post here in the forum for the setup of assetto?

And it used to work. I just carefully tried all the steps again, but the problem stays the same.

Here you can see the difference between Pcars (with data) and AC (all zeros, except for the joystick which does gets recognized):





I also did a "Verify integrity of game cache" in Steam, but that didn't help either..

I will try a full reinstall of Assetto Corsa now and let you know if it worked.

The full reinstall didn't work.

@Spyderwash, you should be given a medal. I did autosearch, but with manual setup. Bit of fiddling with the settings as all the screens were new to me, but now it works again. Thank you and Sirnoname for helping me out!
