Forcing a position once the extractor closed

Postby Erwan960 » Fri 2. Aug 2013, 17:10

Hi !
I use x-sim with happiness for my drive platform from the simulator Project CARS. I use JRK 12V12 to drive my engines.
The startup is done automatically when the game starts and it stops as soon as the game ends.

I would like to know if it was not possible to force the position of the motors to a certain value when stopping.
In fact, now they stop in the middle (position 2048 in the software configuration JRK) and I would have liked to force the stop in position 500, for example.

The reason is simple: once the pilot out of the cockpit, the center of gravity of the system is changed and when the power is off, the cockpit is lowered on the right. The problem is solved when I cut after setting position 500. Hence the need to automate the thing ...

If someone could help me ...

You have to setup the middle position in the math and use asymatric offset. Then a zero is your wished stop position.
Do not forget to set the center option in the program setup. (>1s, not 0s)

Thank you for this proposal. I tried different settings but nothing conclusive. I tried to adjust the acceleration and braking in vain. The difference between the two is too large and appears to move across a logarithmic manner which reduces precision.

So I looked for another solution and I found it : I created a .bat file in which I used the command "jrcmd" that controls the jrk.

To stop the motors :
jrkcmd -d #xxxxxxxx --target 100
jrkcmd -d #xxxxxxxx --target 100

To stop the motors :
jrkcmd -d #xxxxxxxx --target 2048
jrkcmd -d #xxxxxxxx --target 2048

where xxxxxxxx are the serial numbers of the jrk.

Now, before closing the extractor, I run the file through a shortcut key (http://www.autohotkey.com/) and and it's all good !

You can remove the center option and use the synaptrix.
Add a new sequence block to "outputs set at stop".
Select your output and the value you like to set (slider).

I unchecked "center all synaptrix axis on a detected stop" in "program settings".
In "output setup" / Synaprtix IO Output / outputs to set at stop, I can add new output, for example :
0: set output JRK 12v12 on COM 5 to 435874755" (10%), but can't add new sequence block. So I added two new outputs for my 2 JRK. But when I exit the game( when the icon goes from start to stop), it continues to be centered.
