Nephilims Virtual Simulator..

Hi All,

I was just researching Ways to aquire tactile responses and I was reaquanted with this site and the Program.. Let me first start off by saying I am going to first plan this the Motion Part. I already have the Visuals and it is large.. I have a 4'x10' Curved screen Triple Projectors with NVidia 3D Vision for added effect..

Now I was just looking and the base on this is going to be very big and I am probally going to need it too support at least on minimum 400-600 lbs.. I weigh 300lbs now I was wondering if this would even be feasible. I will post some pics of the Virtual simulator and a video to better give you an idea..

I am a very DIY oriented handyman with skills in Hydraulics, Pneumatics and welding ability.. I think I am more then capable of constructing this thing but it will be a pretty big undertaking so I first want to get a design down and parts list..

So I will be browsing the other platforms here especially the 6dof ones to get some ideas.. I will have to do some trimming of the current screen so I have room to shift left and right without hitting the ceiling..

here are some pics and a video of it in action:

Well I am going to come of my dream *. I do believe I would need a lot higher of a ceiling to get my rig setup on a platform with 6dof..

OK I can live with that I will try to make a 3dof stand and that should do just fine..

I think that would be a bit simpler to tackle and build my first time to bat..
