An introduction from me and my rig to this great website: I am Frank, entrepeneur, 43 years old from the Netherlands. I first sim-raced somewhere in the 90's with Grand Prix 2 and an joystick and had multiple simrace pauses of several years. In 2014 I started simracing again with my old Logitech Momo (red) until it broke so I upgraded in several stages to Fanatec CSW gear, triple screen, Obutto Revolution chair, Oculus CV1 and all kinds of peripherals. Last December I bought a second hand 3dof ProfiSim Race 3 (originally build in Czech), because a moving seat was the next step

Profisim was certainly not helpful and only wanted to give paid support (with an minimum of €100,- or so), but no information at all or provide an pdf-manual or such. I do not have problems with paid support, but I expected one paid support would not be enough during time: new computer, new hardware, new game/sim, new setup, new update, etc etc and this means paid support everytime something happens or changes. So I chose to invest time in the X-Sim software because the Profisim software is an commercial X-Sim license and last weekend started and succeeded with Assetto Corsa

One tip I wished I new before I got involved with sim-chairs: if you are planning to buy an stationary sim-chair, go and buy aluminium extrusion profiles. You can design it yourself to get everything how you want it, but also all kinds of ready to build packages are available (which logically costs more). Maybe it is a bit more expensive as an playseat, it is cheaper than Obutto but way more sturdy and adjustable than every race-chair you can find (I think). My Obutto Revolution felt like flexible steel (although reasonable sturdy, no complaints here) compared to my new alu construction...
But no movement yet with Assetto Corsa... until yesterday. I reread several threads several times and succeeded with getting Assetto Corsa telemetry data in the extractor, following with an SCN5 output in the converter, woohoo. There is still some tweaking to do, but yesterday evening I had my best sim-racing experience ever with an 3dof moving chair, Oculus CV1 virtual reality set and racing with old f1 and sportscars on Spa. Next step: getting flight sim DCS working, Dirt rally, rFactor2 and Euro Truck Simulator. Plus I still do have an buttkicker set laying around somewhere...
Hope to be able to contribute to this community, but for now: thanks for this great program and plugins and informative website.
