SERIAL COMMUNICATION (X-SIM & ARDUNIO)

Postby rohithkumar » Sun 17. Feb 2013, 18:51

Hi I am new to this forum, I am very happy and excited to join this community.
I have started some research on building scaled version of SIM using ARDUNIO and servos. But now i got some problem in serial communication from X-sim to Ardunio.

I found there are no topics on this issue, Can any one help me out with this issue

I am able to generate the values from game using X-sim converter, but cannot use those values to communicate with ardunio. (No RX light blinking while running the game).

I am still in the learning stage even i am fining some problem with interface settings as well. i dont know which direction to go now??????

Hi ,

You can have a look here : http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=155#p895

It's not servos but you can find a code for serial comunication btween xsim and arduino nano

Thank you guys for your reply and help.
The problem what i am facing here is no data is transmitted to my arduino board from x-sim output. I dont know which link i am missing, but i have read about RX led should be blinking during serial data transfer i dont see it on my board. Even though my board is detected by x-sim in the interface settings i am not seeing any positive sings of it. I am very much new to this topic.

BobBuilt & vicpopo thank you time

Hi BobBuilt,

As i have mentioned in my previous post that i have solved the issue, there i have used Sirnoname`s firmware (XPID plugin and code)and plugin. But other than that program if i load any other code my Arduino UNO board is not detected by X-sim, even your`s which you have posted for me to drive servos.

What should be the issue with me, i have seen so many posts guys using Alex-firmware which is not a X-PID code but working for them.

Uso and arduino is not a good idea if you use a arduino with ftdi chip. You need a 2second artificial break in the init uso sequence for them.
Only UNO's R2 and R3 are for some reason without a reset.
If a answer is correct or did help you for a solution, please use the solve button.
