if you like to get a sort of plugin we have here the rule that the community search for solution of their favor game.
This means you go to your game directory, search for addon or plugin folders and ask in the forum of the game where source code or details are available.

Find out which way (e.g. network or memory exchange) and which data, then we can continue. Find forum posts and infos. Normally the community has better connections to the game developer. Try to find a person in the game forum which is a good poster and has the knowlege. Ask persons who have connections to the developers. If you do not ahve any connections, make them. Tell them the way we use smartphones/tablet gadgets and make it worthfull for them.

I did a quick search on google but there seem to be no forum for this game...

Yes, I did search a bit too, but no forum, only FB page and Twitter, but I don't know if that's the appropriate place to ask for changes in the code and support for X-Sim..

I've tried this game and I got very good feel on it, much much better than last years WRC3.
Shame that it has only d-box support..

I first checked the game folder and didn't find anything specific..
I too consider it worth investigating and that's what I'll do. I played all WRC versions 1-3 on PS3 and since I built a sim thanks to these great people here, I'd be very interested to have this game supported.
I have the steam version for WRC4 on PC but it shouldn't make a difference steam/no-steam for investigation, right?
Which approach would be recommended: telemetry plugin, graphics driver, memory driver? (there were some guys trying the memory approach on WRC3 but there was no update there http://www.x-sim.de/forum/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=423&hilit=wrc+3 ).
I'll keep you posted.

Cheers!

The best would be telemetry plugin. The game itself must output those data, that's something that someone from game developers can answer.

Graphic driver plugin doesn't work, the game freezes itself after first few seconds.
I've tried on two computers, both the same.

And for Memory driver, that's something that it's a bit complicated for me, I didn't try that.
Maybe the member who made memory injector for WRC3 could help us with this one?

As a dbox plugin is available? There should be a telemetry output, i think. The question is if this is exclusive for dbox owners or free for all.

thanks yokoyoko! I was actually thinking of that when I posted my initial question.
so we know there's telemetry output somewhere (even if for d-box only) and this would be the place to start.
as I'm new to x-sim it may take me a while to figure something out, but I already have the game and I'm motivated to get it supported.
let's see what I can do..
any hint is highly appreciated ;-)=

Hi thaparser,

you will have to find a forum or a email-address where we can get access to the developers or someone who is "deep into this game". If you want, after you can send me this forum link or email and I will have a look if bigben interactive or milestone is willing to cooperate with us too?!

for sure, that would be great if we had that.

as I have played this game from 1 to 3 on PS3 and already looked for information on it, I might say that our hopes of finding this are too high.
interestingly enough, I was not able to find a support/forum site even when I had issues with WRC1, 2 and 3 so I just gave up then.
so far, there's the marketing/presentation site (http://www.wrcthegame.com), a facebook page and twitter. nothing else. milestone and bigben don't seem to bother with this kind of user coverage (the site at milestone.it is currently under re-construction).
I'll dig in some more as there's a better purpose now and let you *

cheers!

Facebook seems to be a good idea, because they have to response to this official fan requests.
However, if you have such information you get my support ...
