Desweiteren bin ich denk ich mal wie jeder hier ein Technikbegeisterter und bastel für mein Leben gern,
konstruiere gern Konzepte die ich dann realisiere oder baue gern etwas detailgetreu nach um Kosten zu ersparen,
da als Student das leben doch noch die ein oder anderen Fixkosten mitsichbringt...

Mit Sim Racing habe ich im Jahr 2011 begonnen, als ich mir spontan auf Empfehlung eines Freundes das Logitech
G27 zulegte. Die Beigeisterung war schnell da und mir war klar das ist erst der Anfang des Wahnsinns...

Drum schnappte ich mir mein CAD Programm und begann mit einer groben Konstruktion eines einfachen Rig.
Da AluProfile teuer sind und ich für 6€/Meter an Edelstahl rankam und gut schweißen konnte, war die Materialauswahl
schnell geklärt. Und nach ein paar Stunden konstruieren und schweißen war mein Rig geboren welches ich gleich
getauft habe! Mein erstes Rig ist geboren!
So I grabbed my CAD program and started with a rough design of a simple rig.
Since aluminum profiles are expensive and I rankam for 6 € / meter on stainless steel and could weld good, was the choice of material
quickly resolved. And construct and weld after a few hours was my rig which I was born the same

Nun ja da das Rumsitzen bzw. nur das Fahren langweilig ist, musste ich natürlich weiter basteln... Also schaute
ich mich um wie ich mein G27 weiter modifizieren kann, denn Werkszustand ist ja doof... Also beschloß ich die
Arc Brake nachzubauen und diese gleich für alle 3 Pedale, verständlich mit verschiedenen Druckfedern!

Da das schnell erledigt war, dachte ich mir ich baue meinen Shifter um da ich unbedingt einen Sequentiellen Shifter
haben wollte und das ja bei G27 nicht umstellbar ist wie beim G25, leider... Aber kein Problem, gleich dazu gabs
dann noch ein Handbrake Mod, ebenfalls selfmade!
Das Funktionsprinzip ist ganz einfach, es sind 2 aufeinander liegende U-Schinen die über 2 Federn sich gegenseitig
zentrieren. Somit wird über den schwarzen T-Hebel die U-Schiene in den Shifter geschoben und rastet dort ein.
Schon kann dieser nicht mehr nach links/rechts und die beiden Federn der U-Schinen positionieren in wieder im
Neutralen nach der Betättigung. Das Signal wird über 2 extra angebrachten Wippenschalter abgefangen, welche parallel
zu den Schaltwippen angeschloßen wurden. Je nach dem was verwendet wird kann "Maße" abgeschaltet werden...
Since that was done quickly, I thought I build my shifter to because I necessarily need a Sequential Shifter

The principle of operation is quite simple, there are two superposed U-rails with the 2 springs each other

wollte ich es aber nachbauen, da das eh mehr Spaß macht
desweiteren wollte ich ein SLI-Pro und kein -M von Leo B. haben...Das Lenkrad habe ich aus D=15mm Schwarzrohr gebogen und verschweißt... Ergebnisse können sich sehen lassen und Kostenpunkt
vielleicht bei 20€
Am ganzen Wheel war die SLI-Pro Einheit die teuerste... insgesamt hat mich das Wheel Upgrade nur ca 230€ gekostetnaja und viel Zeit Geduld und Schweiß...

Nachdem das Wheel ebenfalls fertig war, fehlte mir noch eine Buttonbox, den Knöpfe hat man nie genug. Außerdem sehen die
schick aus und man kann diese auch als Standfuß für ein Touchmonitor (10" USB) verwenden. Auf dem Monitor werden später Anzeigen
oder zb. das x-Sim Tool zu sehen sein... Die Box habe ich aus Holz verleimt und anschließend mit Alcantara, genau wie alle anderen
Holzteile, bezogen. Desweiteren habe ich noch eine Steuerplatine erstellt wo die Knöpfe des G27 Shifter integriert wurden. Somit ist mein
Rig bis jetzt rein von der Steuerung immer noch an der PS3 ebenfalls einsetzbar!

Zusätzlich habe ich mir noch ein billigen Verstärker, sowie einen Bassshaker bei Amazon bestellt um mal in diesem Bereich zu testen...
Musste aber feststellen, dass ich Holzkopf voll auf dem falschen Weg war... bisher wurden dieser einfach Stumpf angesteuert, sprich
hauptsache was vibriert... Werde das in Zukunft über die X-Sim Software machen/Versuchen...
Um die ganze Kabelage zu verstecken, damit das Rig auch "elegant" rüberkommt, habe ich ein Box angefertigt wo alles verstaut ist,
sodass ich nur ein Netzsteker und USB Kabel anschließen muss, damit alles läuft!

Nun ja, so sah das Elegance Rig bis vor paar Wochen immer noch aus, bis ich hier auf dieses Forum und
den supergeilen Konzepten mit den Wischermotoren gestoßen bin. Anfangs hatte ich muss ich ganz ehrlich sagen meine Zweifel ob und
vorallem wie diese überhaupt in der Realität funktionieren/mir üverhaupt gefallen
Hier muss ich klar vorweg Yokoyoko loben!!Nach einem kleinen Chat hat mich dieser gleich zu einer Probefahrt eingeladen und ich war hin und weg begeistert. Gleich darauf haben
wir auf die schnelle zusammen einen groben Entwurf entwickelt wie und auf was ich achten soll beim entwickeln...
Nun ja nach paar weiteren SMS/Telefonaten/Bestellungen (Danke auch an Sirnoname, welcher mir ebenfalls einige Fragen beantwortet
hat und vorallem an seine super Anleitung zum Arduino!!!) ist mein Rig nun komplett zerlegt/zersegt worden

Als nächstes wollte ich erstmal zum testen was gebrauchtes kaufen, also ab zum Schrotti für 5€ 2 Wischermotoren aus einem VW und 2 Kardan-
gelenke besorgt. Billiger geht echt nicht mehr... gut man muss diese ein wenig reinigen aber kommt, das ist die 10 min Arbeit echt wert!
Die Motoren habe ich gleich mal umgebaut wie es hier des öfteren schon durch Anleitungen gezeigt wurde (Hierfür auch vielen Dank!!)
Gleich noch schnell aus 3mm Blech die Motorhalter und Hebelarme (45mm) erstellt. Die Potiabfrage mache ich über eine Zahnradpaarung.
Diese geht bei mir sehr gut auf. Mein Potidrehbereich hat 270° und ich geh von einer 180° Bewegung der Hebelarme aus somit ergibt sich
eine optimale 20/30 Zahnradpaarung damit der Drehbereich des Potis voll ausgeschöpft wird!

Nachdem alles einmal grob vormontiert war, bin ich selbst fast von den Socken gefallen, der Winkel zwischen Motionstange & Gewindestangen
ist meiner Meinung perfekt!

Nun ja für die Stromversorgung habe ich mir gleich 2x 30A Trafos bestellt um Leistungsspitzen ausgleichen zu können, auf Empfehlung von
Yokoyoko. Damit alles schön clean bleibt musste also eine Schaltbox her, welche alles ein/abschalten kann, sowie Platz für alle Steuereinheiten
hat. Bis hierhin ist der Stand der Dinge jetzt. Alle restlichen Komponenten sind nun eingetroffen und ich denke ich werde das
"Elegance Rig" diese Woche zum finalen v2.0 Stand bringen können. Jedoch kommt dann noch der ganze Software Krams wo ich hoffe
das ihr mir kräftig unter die Hände packen werdet...

Schwierigkeiten, was das Rig und vor allem die Erst-in-Betriebnahme anging... Ich danke hier nochmals allen Usern die mir,
egal in welcher Form Unterstützung geleistet haben!!! Ohne euch wäre es zwar ein schönes aber doch in ruhe lagerndes RIG!!!
Hier noch mal speziellen Dank an Thomas Mandl, Yokoyoko und Sirnoname für ihre Hilfe, Gedult und Verständnis mit einem Anfänger!!
So genug Smalltalk: Das Rig ist fertig, das erste Profil erstellt und alles läuft soweit so gut. Klar muss ich noch Skills sammeln was das
Profilerstellen angeht und somit sind momentan die Effekte bisschen zu übertrieben, aber immerhin läuft alles und das ist die Hauptsache!!
Als Summeray kann ich nur sagen, es war ein super geiles Projekt! Ich hatte permanent Spaß und neue Ideen die ich verwirklichen konnte, jedoch
habe ich mir gesagt ich werde an einem gewissen Punkt einen Schlussstrich ziehen, da das Budget für einen Studenten längst überschritten
ist und ich jetzt lieber Erfahrung mit der Software und deren Umgang sammeln werde. Anschließend ist es mein Plan nach dem Studium ein
komplettes neues Rig auf die Beine zu stellen mit komplett eigens gebauter Hardware!!

Nachdem die Hardware endlich komplett bei mir eingetroffen ist, habe ich diese erstmals ausgepackt und auf funktion getestet!
Alles verlief erfolgreich, obwohl teilweise Hardware aus China, wie die H-Brücken bestellet wurden!

Eigentlich wollte ich mich nun ans zusammen bauen wagen, nachdem die Motionplatform für den Sitz lackiert war...
Nun ja sagen wir es mal so, ich habe diese auch zusammen gebaut, jedoch aber schnell gemerkt das ich einenk konstruktiven
Fehler missachtet hatte... Und zwar hat sich der Hebel hinterm Sitz ziemlich stark hin und her biegen lassen, da er nur ein
der Blechkonstruktion befestigt war... Darauf hin habe ich wieder das Schweißgerät rausgeholt und ein paar zusätzliche
Sträben verschweißt, sodass die Befestigung direkt durch die besagten Sträben verläuft!

Tip!! Hatte vorerst gedacht es muss bequem und komfortabel sein, aber das war der komplett falsche Gedanke...
Anschließend habe ich das Rig komplett bis zur Motion Steuerung neu verkabelt, sodass nur noch das Motion Kit angeschloßen werden musste!

Als das Rig endlich da war, war ich froh wie 10 kleine Jungen, dass es überhaupt in die dafür vorgesehene Abstellecke gepasst hat, wie Arsch auf Eimer!

Nachdem alles wieder in der Bude war, ich paar freie Minuten hatte ging auch schon das Verkabeln los... Junge junge, ich sag nur son paar Kabel können
schon echt viel Zeit in Anspruch nehmen... Vorallem wenns hübsch aussehen soll...
Vorerst habe ich die Schaltkastenplatte angefertigt und Lackiert!Die Bohrung für die Platinen positioniert und grob die Verkabelung durchdacht! Nun ja und dann ging es auch schon los. Muss sagen bin echt zufrieden
mit der sauberen Verkabelung!

Nun ja und so sah es es zwischenzeitig in meinem Wohnzimmer aus.... Junge Junge wenn das Frauchen gesehen hätte

Nachdem die Verkabelung durchgeführt war folgent deie ersten Tests nach sirnonames Anleitung!!
Hierbei habe ich einige Fehler gemacht, welche ich nun für neue Beginner/Anfänger erläutere:
- - es ist wichtig, dass die Motoren mit der richtigen Polung angeschloßen sind, sonst funktioniert die Test-Anfahrung im INterface Settings von x-sim nicht!
- - desweiteren darf nichts in der USO =Universal Serial Output eingetragen werden, dass heißt kein Com.Port oder sonstwas vom Arduino...
- - es werden einfach sofort 2 Achsen angelegt, welche die gwünschten Effekte, in meinem Fall 25,26,27 enthalten und schon kann es los gehen, nach dem man im Extractor ein Gameprofil angelegt hat und ein Spiel gestartet hat...
- - und jetzt der wichtigste Punkt für meinen Fall... Sollte jemand das selbe doofheits Level besitzen wie ich, dann passt jetzt auf!!!
Nachdem die Achsen erstellt sind und das Game läuft, fahrt eine Runde Unfallfrei damit sich die Software selbst kalibrieren kann... Ist dies geschehen,
dann müsst ihr wieder zurück ind den x-sim converter und auf den dicken fetten START Knopf drücken damit euer Simulator anfängt sich zu bewegen...
Ich habe das leider aufgrund mangelnder Software Kentnisse und vorallem Abläufe nicht gewusst und habe das Problem sonst wo gesucht, warum der
Simulator nicht läuft!!
im Endeffekt ist es so, dasss die Firmware von sirnoname für das Arduino echt ready to play ist! Man muss nur noch Achsen erstellen und die Xpid
Einträge zuweisen, schon bewegt sich er Simulator.... Zur Profilerstellung empfehle ich das Tut von yokoyoko!!
After the wiring was performed ENSUING deie first test after sirnonames instructions !
Here I have made some mistakes , which I now explain for new Beginner / Beginners:
- it is important that the motors are connecting port of the correct polarity , otherwise the test Anfahrung does not work in INterface settings of x -sim
- besides nothing in the USO may be Universal Serial Output entered , ie no Com.Port or whatever from the Arduino ...

then you have to back ind the x -sim converter and the big fat START button press so that your simulator starts to move ...
I did not know that , unfortunately, due to lack of software end levels and especially processes and have the problem anywhere else wanted , why the
Simulator is not running !
in the end it is so dasss the firmware from sirnoname for the Arduino really is ready to play ! You just have to create axes and the Xpid
Assign entries already moves he simulator .... for profiling and I recommend the Tut of yokoyoko !
Nun ja das Rig ist soweit fertig und ich habe in dem Video unten schon ein Profil für Assetto Corsa
erstellt und einen ersten Testrun gemacht! Hierbei ist zu erwähnen, dass das Profil echt das einfachste vom einfachsten ist und
komplett auf automatisch läuft. Denn mir fehlen momentan noch die Skills ein perfektes Profil zu erstellen, aber alles
zu seiner Zeit !!!
Nachfolgend ein kleines Shooting des finalen RIGS aus alles Postionen! An dieser Stellen möchte ich nochmals meinen herzlichsten Dank an alle
User des x-sim.de Forum aussprechen, welche mir geholfen haben, an x-sim.de selbst und vorallem an die USER: yokoyoko, sirnoname und Thomas Mandl, welceh mich tatkräftig unterstützt haben und mit meinen Kinderkrankheiten umzugehen wussten! VIELEN DANK ohne euch würde das Rig immer
noch still stehen!!
Well the rig is finished as far as I've been in the video below already a profile for Assetto Corsa
created and made a first Testrun! It should be mentioned that the profile is really the easiest of the easiest and
runs completely automatically. Because I lack the skills currently still create a perfect profile, but all
its time!
