I am glad to see someone is working with air and I am not crazy. The 5/3 is must, glad you got that figured. Nice tape measure hack, I love that. (If I cant get my hands on some measuring system I will use your idea.) I am building the same however it's gonna be a little bigger (500mm travel on each cylinder)

The measure tape is a great idea i found on the internet. other ideas are to expensive in my opinion but when you use 500mm actuaors the pullys has to be very big or you have to use a 10turn or 5 turn pot. i was thinking about that but if i want to use a 10 turn pot the pully has to be very small otherwise you will not measure over the whole length with the arduino 0 - 1023

What will be the difference between the 250mm and the 500mm actuators you use. you can make the same angles i gues?

Hello,

Another update, everything is installed * The right valves etc. But now i'm getting stuck on some arduino code. because i use lineair actuators and al the code is for servo motors. Can someone send me a code for lineair, because after two days of thinking my head get stuck on the code to delete the rotation code for servo's.

EDIT:

It's working!!! After three days of headbreaking I'm really happy * When i'm sending some strings from the serial monitor of the arduino the platform is moving. When I want to start making movements with the sliderplugin I get an error about writing to the com port. so i have to figure out what the problem is * when everything is working fine I will post an movie

Figured out the writing problem. The next problem is when i start the converter the whole platform is in a strange movement. I think pitch or roll

Today i tested for the first time, the code was okay. so i started raceroom for a quick test. But the platform is still moving very short positions. can someone explain why this will happen?

Check the youtube movie:

I think you have checked the auto max values in the forces. Unchecked that and set manually lower values.

thanks for the answer. I will test that soon. to be honest i'm not really figured out the software, so maybe when i read the manual i can figure out why it all happen. but this is a great beginning.

EDIT:

I just started testing with smaller values. it's reacting very slow now, but moves a little bit better.

Now there is another problem. When i push the start button, the platform is moving to a very strange position. when i push stop, it will go to the center.

The start and stop strings are exactly the same. so i think it's starting in the wrong position *

This is a movie about that problem

Sorry for my english
Hello my frined you are doing an awesome job, i'am new into this world of simulators and me and some friend decided to make one but instead os using 6 cylinders, we're using only 3, but we get stuck in the same problem with the arduino code  , so my question is: How did you control de cylinders? I mean how your arduino code takes the data and control the time of the valve? How did you manage to change the servo code into a pneumatic control code?
PD:this post gave us faith in our project :) 8-)
