Well spotted

the wood indeed flexes a bit, that's one of the downsides of the material. I don't mind since I do not notice it whilst driving.
I don't think thicker material would be the best way to prevent this. A simple steel frame underneath the base would be a better way I think. But as mentioned I don't notice it while driving so I'm not going to (yet).
It's my first build so it's been a big learning curve as well. There are some things I would do completely different if I would do a new build (highly unlikely though

).
One of them would be drastically improving the center of gravity by bringing the pivot closer to the seat base which would reduce the forces on the motors during tilting (reducing the flexing as well).
It would have been better to raise the pivot, have it stick through the bottom platform and mount it to the seat. That way the weight of the platform, seat base and pedals would have been underneath the pivot and the weight of the seat and driver above it, resulting in more balance. But it's too late for that *
One thing I might do in the future is lower the seat base so the center of gravity will be lower as well. But first I need to find some time to finish it as is and enjoy some time using it

The squeaky noise is one of the slots in the potmeter arms that it's a bit too tight and needs a little sanding, nothing special.
