Motion simulator 2DOF (wiper motor)

Postby stephaned61 » Sun 2. Dec 2012, 12:41

hello,
this is my homemade cockpit.
The motion simulator is constructed on the basis of the combination Velleman VM110(K8055) + Sabertooth 2x25A + wiper motor.

Here is a video presentation and demonstration of my cockpit (in French)

A tutorial on building my simulator is visible on my forum: http://vos-playseat-stephaned61.xooit.fr/t7-Creation-d-un-simulateur-automobile-2DOF-avec-des-moteurs-d-essuie-glace.htm

nice job there, well done.
Just a suggestion, if you ever plan to get bigger motors, i suggest these http://www.motiondynamics.com.au/worm-d ... -180w.html , they will make you really stand up and notice.
But otherwise said, great job.

Your engines seem to be interresting. They are equipped with potentiometers?

I had to put pots on the motor via a lever system

something like this.
I use JRKS though.
Now thanks to some left over gears off a winch motor I use multiturns

Floriske runs a similar motor on his sim. They are fast and powerful.

As said, just a suggestion....
