In the post I saw your tests but each time with xsimctrl v2.1.
For me with amc1.6 and ale's firmware 2.1 fix3 and xsimctrlv2.2eng it doesn't work (soft and firmware linked in this post)

Last time I was testing Ale's firmware, xSimCTRL v2.2 was working fine, I know because I was using its "auto" graph function. I just unzipped the exe in the same directory as the xSimCTRL v2.1 and run the xSimCTRL v2.2 exe.

In case the problem has to do with operating system issues, my windows is Win7 Ultimate 32-bit, with full admin privileges. In any case you should disable the UAC in Users Settings.

Hi Thanos,

I tried but without good results , the board fixed it about 2 or 3 seconds after I check the box ''sending data to amc''.
I go back to amc1.6 v1.1c.
For the dual bridge that I 've got good results and now I fixed the problem wiper shacking (always little voltage supplied the motor).
I connected a wire directly from the amc1.6 to a external ground. And since the motor isn't schaking anymore!.
Look at this video (motor noise away!. )

It is very strange. :? Can you describe with more details what does not work? Do you use setting up COM port properties from xSimCtrl menu? Do you use check boxes "receve data from AMC" and "Send data to AMC"?
Describe, please, full start up sequence with alternative firmware...

Hi Prilad,
First I didn't ask Thanos the dip swithes positions. The switch configuration for amc1.6 I used:
Switch 1 to on and swith 2,3,4 to off , the board displaying tty editing mode!I tried with all switchs to off and same result!
I configured the com port as asked ,no problem (I watched several times your video)
I started the to check the boxes receiving , sending to amc , the lcd values and xsimctrl were matching together and few seconds after all fixed , the lcd fixed , amc1.6 crashed nothing happen! The red led on sparfun ftrl232 is on and I have to reset the board !
I didn't ask to Thanos how exactly he configured the board ( dip switch ?, did he use the jumpers using xsimctrl like the atmega programing configuration ?)
That's the reason I asked him if he tested the board because in the post ,the videos posted show tests with xsimctrlv2.1 !
I suppose It can't be a amc1.6 problem because it works with Thanos firmware!
I will try to make a video and I will post it!

Hi, Gilles.

After any changing dip switch you must RESET controller. Dip switch 1 in my firmware change working mode - normal mode or TTY terminal mode. You must see on LCD NOT TTY mode when controller is turned on.

Hi Thanos ,
I tested amc1.6 with the new firmware v1.1d.I didn't try yet to modifie the Kp setting as you describe in this post.
I make new tests with the wiper motor and dual h-bridge and something new happened.I played with the slider for testing the motor positioning. It runs well except the shaking motor problem we talked together in this post, and suddenly the motor 's shaking very hardly independentlyfrom Xsim.
I posted a video after this fact happened. You can show the lcd display indicating X65Y66 (the kp values which are certainly wrong)

Hi Gilles,

LOL, I just reproduced the same screen on my AMC1.6, when I tried to send some data to it from xsimctrlv2.2 !!!
I must figure out a way not to trigger the KP setting change during nornal play with x-sim3 too I guess... hold on...

Hi Thanos ,
Ok thank you for your video.
The only difference between you board and mine is the wire you solded to improve I don't remember what!
Did you see my video below with the big difference when I connected the board to a external ground !

Hi Gilles,

I found the bug, its now fixed!!! No more random triggering of KP setting during playtime with x-sim2 (or xsimctrlv2.2 if you like to use it for testing motion)

All the rest KP~255~ and KP~254~ commands works as described in the first page. They run one time, on the startup. If there is other normal position data before that it is disabled from triggering. Also try to have 2ms delay after the KP commands.

Fixed Firmware file is on the first page! I kept the same version as nothing else was added: 1.1d

Thanks for the feedback! It always helps make improvements!!!

Hi Thanos,
I happy that happen to you :P !I 'm not alone !..
Just a feeling from me.For me the firmware v1.1c would run better than the v1.1d!The modification you made to enter Kp settings disturbing something!
Regards
Gilles
