So without actually testing this driver myself but it seems to meet the specs needed.

Hi, guys.

I have the same H-Bridge (as you can see on video in the top of this thread). I tested this bridge with wiper motor and I think it works good.

Regards,
Ale

UPDATE: In this thread (on our Russian forum) you can see how to make ISOLATED radiators for this H-Bridge (if it necessary)

Hi I've read through the forum that the simplest way is to Pololu cards, but do not see any tutorial clear enough ... With the Arduino UNO if there is a tutorial that more or less with my little understand English, but I do not see a video where you see working, I think yours bob forum if you've done the work correctly with some servos.
What is the best way and I need?

Sorry for my bad English and for being something heavy thank you very much

hi,
i have this driver (DBK Dual Motor Driver) http://www.ebay.com/itm/221043792022?ru=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fsch%2Fi.html%3F_sacat%3D0%26_nkw%3D221043792022%26_rdc%3D1#ht_12788wt_1344
can i connect it to arduino for use with big worm motors or do i need isolator?
thanks

Hi, spartan300

Some words about isolators

Galvanic isolation of the power side (half-bridge and motors) from the control side (PC) is not mandatory, but is recommended.

There are two reasons for using galvanic isolation:

1 - Unfortunately due to the peculiarities of the computer power supply ( a desktop PC rather than a laptop) the PC ground has a potential of 110 V.

2 - Chip FT232 (USB-RS232 converter) is very sensitive to impact noises on the earth wire.

As an isolator can be used USB isolator (instead isolation between H-bridge and Arduino)

so , if i understand right, the problem is the pc power supply and not the power supply that connect to motor driver, which can interact with PWM signals.
My motor consum a lot of power, i have a power supply that gives 90A for both motors.
So can i connect direct my arduino direct to my motor driver?
thx

You CAN connect Arduino to motor driver... But it is possible the big currents pulses will lead to erratic work of microcontroller...

with this USB isolator i will prevent this possible erratic work of microcontroller?
Sorry but iam new in elecronics
Thx

Hi,
i'm using arduino Nano with sirs Firmware. When i put a vaalue in the send output box my motor will move and stop at this position and is making a grinding noise. The pot signal gets very rough at this point so it's sendind left and right values all the time. So should i use an isolator? Can i use the sparkfun in my project?

I'll try to make version for...

Hi prilad !

Any news concerning the Arduino and the sabertooth with your software ?

Thanks for the work ;)
