DIY WRC Handbrake

Postby beeratis » Mon 1. Apr 2013, 22:18

It's about a diy usb vertical handbrake with gas spring 10kg that can be used both analog or digital depends on game.

I used an old Logitech attack 3 joystick that I don't using it anymore and disassembled it

I cut the frame and kept the mounting holes like the pic

I used plexiglass to lock one axis and also glued a micro switch (from attack 3 joystick) for analog axis

The aluminum ready for paint ;)

Assembling...

Small aluminum tube 1354 with fitted thread adapter for gear knobs 1355

and the result :)

The rca cable will be connected to my g25 shifter (chilicoke modification)

Really nice!

It doesn't look that hard to built, I have several unused gamepads at home, also with analog sticks which I can use for this.

What does rca cable do while connected to g25?

I used an old game pad, pulled apart then wired 2 buttons to my DIY shifter, and then used the existing USB cable.
The RCA cable , I suspect, I as plug to connect to his G25 so he can use some buttons on that, save having to use a new cable.
