Extractor crashing on windows 10

Postby tzuvela » Tue 3. Oct 2017, 17:02

Hi, I'm using x-sim aluminum on windows 10 build 1703, and extractor is crashing when trying to download online profile, opening motion driver (telemetry settings), or generally trying to do anything.

I've reinstalled x-sim, and reset defaults with registry cleaner in admin mode several times, and I'm running out of things to try, except installing another OS or using another PC.

When reinstalling and selecting to clear the registry, the process often hangs and I have to manually close TODO: <Dateibeschreibung> (32 bit)
ironically, I was only able to get everything to work the first time, before I got 60 euro licence.
Please let me know if there is anything else I can try, or can I send you log files for inspection?

if windows 10 won't work, I'm happy to move to another OS, but will I have to wait 3 months to get another licence?

Thanks

Win 10 use in the newest update another admin mode. Simple rightclick every exe file in plugins folder and set them in admin compatibility mode. Or use Win 7.

Thanks, I've changed all exe files in Plugin folder to start in admin mode, but unfortunately that didn't help.
Then I changed permission on all exe files in x-sim folder to run as an administrator, but that didn't help either.
Extractor hangs when trying to download online profiles, setting "used game", etc.
Is there anything else I can try before switching to win7?
Is there patch planed to fix this?

For internet problems you must check your own hardware.

I think we are not talking about the same thing, my internet is working fine, just extractor is very unstable, crashing constantly.
For example, when I click on Used Game field, and select a game, a dialogue pops up saying:
"There is an official game plugin detected for this game executable. Do you like to activate/change this plugin in the motion driver dialogue"
If I click yes, extractor crashes, so I think this is not related any internet problems (I can log into my account without any issues).
Would it be useful if I make a video about this?

I made a short video about this problem:

I also wanted to make a video about Extractor crashing when trying to download an online profile, but I'm now getting this error message:

Please can you explain if there is a way to get X-sim to work on windows 10, or should I switch to windows 7, and if there is a patch planned to fix this?
Thanks for your help.

the same problem I encountered, the first time you appeared to me your error and then everything locked in the last profile search, all executables.exe are like admin, with win compatibility 7, I had to uninstall everything to delete all x-sim folders, manually clean the registry as with registry cleaner did not work, reinstalled everything and resumed.
x-sim loses shots quickly seems to be dying the competition is light years ahead .... obsolete plugins, no blugin upgraded f1 2017 does not work, pcars 1 and 2 i have to have a particular launch offside block many unsupported games .... problems with win 10
sinceramte after 6 years of use I will have to surrender and go to the competition a sin as I consider it very valid

there is no development !!!
I hope in a quick lifting

I'm hoping this can be fixed soon.

Competition is always healthy and helps with the quality of products.
I've tried the software which must not be named and I was able to get motion on my mini 6dof platform quite easily, without stability issues :

I'm having exactly the same experience as spyderwash, it's good to know I'm not the only one, hope they release some fix for it, It's so frustrating, does anyone have a stable x-sim setup on windows 10 64bits? what's the secret?
